Each year an area high school goes “green” to raise money for their fine arts department.  Highland High School is encouraging residents in Riverside and Ainsworth to put their empty cans and bottles out today to support the high school’s band and choir, among other groups in the department.  Nate Kassdorf is one of the volunteers for the event.

He says in addition to setting them out by the street, you can also drop your recyclables off at Ainsworth Elementary and Riverside Park.  The drive is sponsored by the Highland Fine Arts Boosters, and they’ll be collecting cans and bottles from 9:00 until 11:00 this morning.
