The Downtown Revitalization Project is one of the items on the Kalona City Council agenda, which includes various street repairs and the addition of concrete quilt blocks in sidewalks.  The council will also present another discussion over FEMA mapping.  The issue has been talked about before at meetings, and City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh has said this map was created to show the established flood plain and can be used to show areas of special flooding or commonly known as the 100-year flood plain.

City officials have until September to decide the issue, but it has been a prevalent issue in recent meetings.  The meeting takes place at the Kalona Community Center at City Hall tonight at 7:30.
