The Keota City Council has moved plans forward that will result in a new water main in the town. The Davis Street Water Main Project was one of several items discussed at Monday’s meeting.  The Department of Natural Resources and the contractor scheduled to complete the work, Volkens, Inc. of Dyersville, reached an agreement to proceed with the plans that were in place.

City Clerk Niki Osweiler added the council decided to allocate a grant received from the Keokuk County Foundation toward security at City Hall.  The $1,000 grant was presented to help the city after covering the costs of damage caused by a December fire.
