Several headstones have been vandalized in a cemetery near Riverside.  At 12:20 on Sunday afternoon, the Washington County Safety Center received a report of several headstones vandalized at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Riverside.  Washington County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the scene and found approximately 30 headstones knocked over and damaged.

The incident is currently under investigation and the city of Riverside is ready to offer a reward for any information that may lead to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.  The reward amount will be determined at the next City Council meeting.
