Pleasant weather and a long Memorial Day weekend means many Iowans are hitting the road.  Trooper Jason Marlow with the Iowa State Patrol in Mt. Pleasant says like any holiday, there will be more traffic on the roads.  He hopes those traveling will not speed or drink and drive.

Trooper Marlow says the biggest thing you can do to remain safe is to avoid distracted driving.  He adds if you have an opportunity to switch drivers, to do so to prevent fatigue.

Marlow says when driving to keep a safe driving distance and not drive too fast for conditions.
