After ten years of service through the Kalona Community Center, Washington County Public Health has elected to move the location of their immunization services to Mercy Services of Kalona.  Lynn Fisher says they agreed to the move because it allows them to have a singular place where immunizations are performed, and it will help respond to a higher demand.  When they were being offered at the community center, scheduling conflicts would sometimes result in the postponement or cancellation of immunizations.

Fisher says having them at Mercy Services will provide consistent service to the people of northern Washington County.  Starting June 23rd, immunization clinics will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of every month at Mercy Services of Kalona.
