Today’s unseasonably warm weather means we could set a new record high for today. National Weather Service Forecaster, Andy Ervin says a summer-like air mass is moving in the upper Midwest bringing in warm south winds. He says the system will move northward and will remain in place through tomorrow with today being the warmer of the two days.
Ervin adds thunderstorms will cool the temperatures down tomorrow night and into the weekend. The record high for today in Washington is 89 set back in 1922.
