At the state track meet, four top five finishes from area athletes. On the first day of the meet being held in Des Moines, Keota’s Jenna Altenhofen took third in the long jump. She jumped 17’3”, the winner went 17′ 8”. Washington’s Jake Redlinger finished 4th in the high jump going 6’4”, the winner went 6’7”. The Mid-Prairie 4×8 team of Peter Schwartz, Steven Jones, Ryan Hoffman, and Justin Hochstetler finished 4th. Sigourney’s Logan Klein finished 4th in the long jump going 21′ 10”, first place was 23’2”.

Regan Enfield 15th in the 400 meter dash
Boys 4×8 22nd

Columbus’ Heaven Chandler qualified for the 100 meter dash finals with the 4th fastest time. She missed qualifying for the 200 meter dash finals. Chandler finished 6th in the long jump.

For Mid-Prairie, Natalie Feigenspan narrowly qualified for the 100 meter dash finals and will have a chance to defend her title from last year tomorrow in the final. The girls 4×8 team finished 8th. Jaemin Powell missed qualifying for the 100 meter dash finals.

In Class 1A, Lone Tree’s Madelyn Flemr qualified for the 100 meter dash finals with the eighth fastest time. Teammate Ella Feldman finished 10th in the 3000. Mark Reeves 15th in 400 meter dash.

For Highland, Allison Sojak 13th in 400 meter dash.

For Sigourney, J. C. Abrahamson finished 8th in the 400.

For Winfield Mount-Union, Wes Atkinson ended up 6th in the long jump.
