Washington County Relay for Life Team HOPE is holding a golf tournament on Saturday to raise money.  The 18 hole tournament will be held at Lagos Acres Golf Course in Keota.  Dixie Conrad of Team Hope says this is the second year for the fundraiser, which is one of many throughout the year that benefits the American Cancer Society.

Conrad says there have been 183 Washington County residents diagnosed with cancer recently, but the support from area residents is one of the best in the country.  She says Washington County ranked tenth in the nation last year in money raised per capita, and third in the Midwest region.

Cost for the event is 30 dollars per person or 60 dollars per team.  It is a two person best ball tournament, and golf carts will be available to rent.
