The One to Count On...

4-H Clothing Event Held

Nineteen members of 4-H took part in a clothing event recently and four members will be representing Washington County at the Iowa State Fair next month.  The Senior members are Lexi Marek of the Jackson Jets 4-H Club in the $15 Challenge category.  Madeline Hora, also of the Jackson Jets 4-H Club will represent in the Clothing Selection category.

Holly Vittetoe of Prairie Pride 4-H Club and Shelly Palmer of Limecreek Limelights 4-H Clubs will take part in the Fashion Revue category.  The state fair clothing competition will be held in Ames this year on Friday, August 12.

The top winners in the Intermediate age division for $15 Challenge were Sarah Greiner of Prairie Pride 4-H Club with a purple and Hannah Van Roekel of the Limecreek Limelights with a lavender.

For the Clothing Selection category, Sarah Greiner received a purple and Kaitlin Hora of the Jackson Jets 4-H Club received a lavender.  In the Fashion Revue category, Kaitlin Hora received a purple.

Sarah and Kaitlin will be representing Washington County at the Intermediate Clothing Event on August 5th at the Coralville Public Library.

In the Junior division, for  $15 Challenge Category a purple ribbon went to Katie Palmer, member of the Limecreek Limelights 4-H Club.  A lavender ribbon went to Makenzie Marek of the Jackson Jets 4-H Club.

In the Clothing Selection category Lindsey Palmer of Limecreek Limelights 4-H Club received a purple and Makenzi Marek received a lavender.  In the Fashion Revue category a purple ribbon went to Emily Hora of the Jackson Jets 4-H Club and a lavender to Kendra Rickey of the Washington Go-Getters 4-H Club.

Juniors in $15 Challenge:

Kendra Rickey, Bailei Gerot, Jacee Stapp, Lindsey Palmer, Baylee Stalder all received blue ribbons

Intermediates in Clothing Selection:

Hannah Van Roekel, Montana Hart both received blue ribbons

Intermediates in $15 Challenge:
