The 13th annual “Recovered Bike Auction” is being held in conjunction with Ridiculous Day tomorrow.  Washington Optimist Club Chairperson Don Pfeiffer says the bikes in this auction come from bikes in the city’s bike shed that have not been claimed in the last year. He adds this year over 50 bicycles will be at the auction.

Pfeiffer says they have many brand name bikes in good condition such as Raleigh, Huffy, Roadmaster and Schwinn. He says the sizes range from 12 inch child’s bikes to 27 inch adult bikes.

The bikes will be available for viewing starting at 8:30 tomorrow morning with the auction starting at 10:00 under the Central Park bandstand. To learn more about this auction, listen to today’s In Touch With Southeast Iowa Program during the midday magazine.
