On the baseball field the Demons were seeing Fort Madison for the first time this season. Both games were tight with a lot of offense. In the first game Washington came from behind after trailing much of the game to force extra innings with it tied 8-8. The Bloodhounds ended up winning 9-8.

In the second game it was another tight one, 2-2 in the first, Demons got up 4-2 after two. Bloodhounds tied it at 4-4, and took a 5-4 lead before the Demons tied it at 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth. But Fort Madison got up 12-6 in the seventh and would get the win to sweep the Demons. The Demons are now 2-2 in the conference and will host West Branch tonight.
