The Washington County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing during their meeting yesterday to review proposed changes to the County Code of Ordinances about Wastewater systems.  One change in the ordinance states that contractors need to be certified in treatment systems.  A first reading of the proposed changes regarding the ordinance followed and a second reading will be during next week’s meeting.

They also discussed resolutions for the abatement of property taxes with the Washington County Treasurer.  These abatements total $180 on two different mobile home properties.

A job description of an assistant to the administrator to the Washington County Veterans Affairs was reviewed and more clarification on the title and the description will be presented during next week’s meeting.
