One of Washington County’s southern communities is celebrating this weekend. Brighton’s Whoopee Days begin today and continue through tomorrow. Organizers say there will be a variety of events for residents and visitors alike. The Brighton Lions Club will have a concession stand all weekend, where they will be grilling up barbeque hamburgers, hot dogs, and more.
Some of Saturday’s events include the Whoopee Walk at 6:30 a.m., a parade at 10:00, and the Brighton Mud Run at 1:00. This is the 101st celebration of the Brighton Whoopee Days. The festivities kick off with live music tonight at 6:00.
