The Kalona City Council says one street in their town is in need of some work.  City Administrator Ryan Slabaugh says C Avenue requires extensive repairs, and the city council is expected to take bids for the project at their next meeting.  He says most of the street will see repairs, and as soon as the proper documents are prepared, the city can get started on that project.

The council also declared portions of B Avenue and A Place as “no parking” areas.  Council members also announced the city’s purchase of a cemetery within the city limits previously owned by Moses Miller Association, LLC.

Because of the July 4th holiday, the council will convene next on Tuesday, July 5th.
