The Washington Chamber of Commerce Director can add a new title to his name.  Tim Coffey has graduated from the Institute for Organization Management (IOM).  The IOM is a professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

This program has been around since 1921 and is used as a training platform for the professional development of their top talent.  Tim Coffey says he was exposed to what is needed to be successful in running a Chamber of Commerce operation.

Coffey attended four, weeklong sessions totaling 96 hours of course instruction in nonprofit management.  Besides the graduate recognition, Coffey can earn credit hours toward the Certified Chamber Executive or Certified Association Executive professional industry certifications.
