With the price of gas remaining high, the Washington Chamber of Commerce is reminding everyone of activities to do close to home.  Washington Chamber Director Tim Coffey says there are numerous things you can do around the Washington area that are family-friendly and inexpensive.  He says things like the municipal band concert, strolling around the square or going out to eat are ways to stay close to home.

Coffey says the month of August is the Chamber’s busiest month in terms of events, but numerous events are held all year to keep everyone busy.  To learn more about summer events, listen to today’s Washington Page during the morning and midday magazines.
