The Washington Demon baseball team was in Fairfield getting their first look of the season at the Trojans. It would be a big night for the Demons as they would lead 4-0 and get the win 7-0 in seven innings. The second game ended early as the Demons really had the bats going. A Brad Weatherman three run homer gave Washington a 4-1 lead. He would hit a two run shot later to put the Demons up 9-1. Washington won the second 13-1 in the fifth. Weatherman also had a homer in the first game for three on the night. Washington Head Coach Nathan Miller says they were strong defensively as well only giving up four hits on the night. Josh Moore started the first game and went six innings. Jacob Henry started the second game. Miller also says as a team throughout the line up they got hits from everyone. The Demons are now 4-2 in conference play and will host Mount Pleasant tonight. You’ll be able to hear the first game of the doubleheader right here on the one to count on KCII.
