Demons Drop Two on Second Day of Muscatine Tourney

The Demons softball team was at the Muscatine tournament this weekend and won one and lost three facing a couple of highly ranked opponents. The Demons beat Louisa-Muscatine 15-1 in three innings on Friday. They then lost to Davenport Central 4-2.

On Saturday the Demons first faced 2A 2nd Ranked Durant and the teams went back and fourth. Washington got an rbi double from Ashley Raush and a two run double from Stephanie Fishback. In extra innings the Demons brought across three runs in the eighth but Durant answered with four runs and won 8-7. In the second game the Demons lost to 4A 6th ranked Davenport West 6-0.

Now the Demons get ready for a busy week starting with 3A 6th ranked Keokuk this evening. Typically the Demons have played well after the Muscatine tournament and Coach Shrader hopes that will be the case this year. The Demons host Keokuk this evening.
