On the baseball field, Washington got two strong wins. They took the first game 10-2 and won the second 10-4. Demon Head Coach Nathan Miller says it didn’t seem to flashy they just scattered runs throughout and did a nice job of manufacturing runs with several sacrifices. He also praised their pitching holding Keokuk to three hits in the first game and really not allowing many scoring opportunities in either game. Brad Weatherman and Colton Covington pitched in game one, and Collin Steele, Josh More and Covington pitched in game two. Washington is now 8-2 in conference play. The Demons go on the road for a doubleheader with Danville tomorrow night.
