A water project several years in the works is ready to be set into motion in Wellman. However the city council is calling a special meeting today to discuss the next step in implementing its Reverse Osmosis Water System, as the project’s contractor has voiced some last-minute concerns.
City Administrator Dave Ross says the contractor has requested a change order, which means the contractor has decided to add new plans that were not originally listed as part of the project. Once the changes are made, the system is expected to go online next month.
The meeting will take place today at 1:30 in the Wellman Municipal Building.
