The Washington Chapter of “Daughters of the American Revolution” is hosting a Flag Day event tomorrow at the organization’s cabin in Sunset Park.  The event will feature The American Legion Riders, a flag retirement ceremony, and guest speaker Wendell Guy accompanied by the Honor Guard.  Guy will be giving a flag folding presentation.

There will be patriotic songs and some historical flags will be on display from the Conger House.  Flag Day is observed each year on June fourteenth – the day in 1777 that the Continental Congress approved the “stars and stripes” design of the American Flag.

Those coming are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and the ceremony begins at 2:00 tomorrow at the Alexander Young log house in Sunset Park.
