A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Washington County until tomorrow morning. Heavy rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours after rounds of storms hit the area late last night and again early this morning around 4:00, bringing a quarter of an inch of rainfall to Washington.  A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible across the listening area, and forecasts should be monitored to watch for potential Flash Flood Warnings.

The National Weather Service expects an additional 2 to 3 inches of rain to fall in the area today and tomorrow, with larger amounts in thunderstorms.  Stay tuned to KCII for the latest severe weather and flash flood updates.
