Interested southeast Iowa anglers have a chance to fish this weekend without having to face a penalty.  Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Biologist Chad Dolan says the free fishing days allows all Iowa residents to fish without having to buy a license.  He says this free fishing is open to all open waters of the state or private pond.

Dolan adds all other fishing regulations such as size and bag limits are still in place.  This free weekend is offered in June because fish are usually close to shore and are willing to bite.  For more information about the free fishing weekend, look here.
