The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks were playing in the Clear Creek-Amana tournament yesterday. Facing Solon the Hawks jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead with some strong hitting in the first but after that Solon was able to clamp down and held the Golden Hawks to only three hits after the first. Solon went into the sixth down a run put up four runs in that inning to win 6-3. Mid-Prairie beat North Cedar in the consolation round 10-0.

The Demons first round opponent in the postseason, Williamsburg is also playing at the tournament. They lost to 2A 7th ranked Regina 3-2 and then beat Iowa Valley 6-1.

Fairfield beat Cedar Rapids Prairie in their first game and lost to 3A top ranked Clear Creek-Amana 9-3.
