The Kalona Public Library is making sure local students are able to keep their minds fresh while on vacation with a summer reading program.  Library Director Anne Skaden says there will be a variety of activities for children aged kindergarten through sixth grade.  The program’s theme is “One World, Many Stories,” and will allow students to learn about kids their age throughout the world.

Skaden says the Travelers, or kids aged 3 to 5, will meet Wednesdays.  Children in kindergarten through second grade are called the adventurers, and they will meet Tuesdays, and the Explorers, who are third through sixth graders, will meet Thursdays.  The program begins with a kickoff party on Monday.
