The public’s opinion is what members of the Keota City Council say is what matters most to the town’s development. Councilman Scott Flynn says the council held a meeting Tuesday to gather those opinions on possible future development in Keota. He says people brought many good ideas to the meeting, and there was a lot of discussion particularly about possibly adding a community center to the town’s landscape. There is no such center in Keota, he says, but people were very open to the idea.
Flynn also says people were open to industrial or commercial development east of town, which could extend into Washington County. Flynn says the next meeting to talk about the development plan will be July 12th.
