It was one big inning that ended up hurting the Demon softball team in a split with Pella Christian. The Demons were home against the Eagles and Pella Christian batted around in the top of the first to bring in seven runs. Fielding wise the Demons didn’t commit many errors in that innings, the Eagles were doing a nice job of hitting the ball and finding open spots. After the top of the first of the first game, the Demons would outscore Pella Christian 17-1 the rest of the night. With Maddie Bohr pitching in the first game, Washington came back to pull within three but the Eagles got the win 8-5. Shrader did like her teams fight to pull within three.

In the second game, the Demons had the bats going as they scored three runs in the first, five in the second and two in the next each of the next two innings to win 12-0 in four innings. Sammy Ellingson, Stephanie Fishback, Lauren Vittetoe, and Ashley Rausch all had doubles. Rausch pitched and got the win. With the split the Demons are now 17-11 and will host Highland tonight. You’ll be able to hear tonight’s game right here on the one to count on KCII, we’ll be on the air at around 7:30.
