Washington School District’s special election results are in.  According to Washington County Auditor Bill Fredrick, the General Obligation Bond issue failed with 51.5% of the vote and only 25% of eligible voters voting.

With this measure failing, Washington School Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen says the next step will be to use the old high school as is, with the potential for some minor renovations down the road.

Election results won’t be official till next week when the auditor’s office conducts canvassing.
