The Washington Airport is receiving funds for an expansion.  The funds are coming from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s grant program.

Second District Congressman Dave Loebsack says he is “pleased the airport will receive this funding to make essential improvements and ensure continued economic growth in Iowa around commercial and private air travel.”

The Washington Airport is receiving almost one point one million dollars to acquire the land necessary to expand Runway 31.
