The Washington City Council is set to meet tonight and will have the second reading of an ordinance to amend the city code concerning water rates, the collection of solid waste fees and concerning water deposits.  The proposed rates will increase in range from almost $56 to over $107 up from $33 to over $62.  The new rates will cover the cost of the new Wastewater Treatment Project and would take effect July 1st.

They will also be considering a proposal for interim administrative services and on a non-union cost of living increase.  The Washington City Council meeting begins tonight at 6:00 in the old public library.
