The Washington County Extension is sponsoring a simulation challenging participants to experience life in poverty.  Brighton Horizons will host the poverty simulation, which will illustrate what it might be like to be part of a typical low-income family trying to survive from month to month.  Amy Adrian with the Extension office says the simulation is designed to increase the understanding of the realities of poverty.

She says they will welcome anywhere between 40 and 100 participants.  The program will be held at the old Brighton school gym in Brighton from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th.  There is no charge to participate.
