Main Street Washington is hosting a youth art fair tonight in Washington’s Central Park. Amy Vetter with Main Street Washington says this is the start of marketing their Celebrate Washington event in August by involving the work of youth from around the county. There are over 100 pieces of art that will be displayed in Central Park with first and second place winners being chosen in four different age groups.
She says the winning entries will be purchased by Main Street and will be on display in the Washington Public Library along with the artwork from the adult art show in August. Vetter adds volunteers are needed to help set up for this event starting at 3:00 this afternoon at the bandstand.
The art is on display tonight from 5:00 to 8:00 in Central Park.
