The Washington County Board of Supervisors are meeting this week to discuss an agreement with Hillcrest Family Services for the County’s mental health services.  This discussion was a tabled item from last week’s meeting.  The Supervisors will also make a motion for the establishment of a County-wide Local Option Sales and Services tax referendum.

The referendum will only apply to communities where the tax would sunset.  The city of Washington, Kalona, Coppock and unincorporated Washington County’s tax does not have a sunset rule.

The Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting is tomorrow morning at 9:30 in the Washington County Courthouse.
