Clover Kids Spend Time with Fair Judges

Fifty Washington County 4-H Clover Kids had the chance to have conferences with judges about their projects for this year’s Washington County Fair.  Washington County 4-H Youth Coordinator Amy Green says while 4-Hers were getting their non-livestock exhibits judged for Family and Consumer Science, Mechanics and Engineering, and Science, Clover Kids also had their opportunity to visit with the judges.

The 4-H Clover Kids consist of youth in grades kindergarten through 3rd grade who are involved with the 4-H program.  Green says conferencing with an adult allows the kids the opportunity to experience conference judging, which is a requirement of all 4-H exhibitors.

The Clover Kids will be able to move up to a traditional 4-H club when they enter fourth grade.  Over 130 Clover Kids’ projects will be on display in the basement of the Extension office at the Fairgrounds from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day this week.
