A date has been set for an official grand opening of Kalona’s Downtown Revitalization Project. City Administrator Ryan Slabaugh says the city council has chosen August 27th as the date of the celebration. He says the event will feature live music, a car show, food vendors, and more. Slabaugh says the grand opening is the city’s way of saying thank you to residents for dealing with construction work, and also to contractors for their hard work in improving the town’s downtown landscape.
The grand opening celebration will be sponsored by the city of Kalona.
