At the Iowa High School State Baseball Tournament in Des Moines the Demons came from behind to advance to the 3A semifinals. In a game heard on KCII, the Demons were facing ADM-Adle who was 23-14 heading in. Both teams worked out of jams in the first three innings but ADM scored in the top of the fourth with a bases loaded walk and then the next batter tried to lay down a bunt, popped it up to third and it bounced just in front of third baseman Colin Steele who tried to get the out at the plate but was not in time. So it was 2-0, ADM. The Demons would bounce back in the bottom of the fifth. Brian Roder led off with a walk, Tanner Knupp came on to run for him and with one out Austin Knupp hit a big double to ignite the fans and team. Josh Moore had a base hit to center that scored two runs. The game was tied at 2-2. Not long after that with runners at first and second Jake Redlinger was up and hit one to center field that got by the fielder and allowed Moore and Anthony Ossman to score and put Redlinger on third. It was ruled a base hit with an error. Redlinger would score on a pass ball to put Washington up 5-2.

The Demons continued in the sixth with hits from Brian Roder and doubles from Colton Covington, Josh Moore, and Brad Weathermana as they scored three runs in the inning to go up 8-2. Washington would win 8-4.
