A Keota city councilman has resigned from his position.  Scott Flynn had been serving on the council since 2007 before giving up his position this week.  City clerk Niki Osweiler says Flynn recently moved to another residence outside of Keota city limits, and under city regulations Flynn is no longer eligible to serve on the council and finish his term.  Council members appointed Scott Westendorf to serve the remainder of Flynn’s term at their meeting Monday.  That spot on the council will then be up for election later this year.  Osweiler says Flynn will continue serving on the town’s Comprehensive Plan committee.
