Area college students have received recognition for their course work.  David File, the Associate Vice President and Dean of Extended Learning says most of the students recognized “pursue their degree through Iowa Wesleyan’s evening bachelor’s degree completion program also have full-time jobs and other outside responsibilities.”

One of the winners, Julie Johnson is the Clerk of Court for Washington County.  She says she was excited to be honored with this recognition while working full-time and attending school.

Johnson and the other students who earned the honor attended school on a part-time basis.  They had to keep at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher while completing at 15 semester hours of course work during the 2010-2011 school year.

File says the students recognized have qualified for the Iowa Wesleyan’s Extended Learning Student Honors Recognition.
