The city of Lone Tree has received a grant to improve public housing. Senator Tom Harkin announced 48 Iowa Public Housing Agencies will receive just over $5 million for financing, development, and improvement of public housing. The Lone Tree Housing Commission’s allotment of funds totals $18,200, which will be used to improve apartments in the town.
The announcement comes days after the Iowa Department of Economic Development awarded a $225,000 grant to improve six single-family apartment units in Lone Tree.
