Mid-Prairie, Highland Play for Trips to State

It’s a big night in softball as two area teams will play for the right to go to state in Fort Dodge next week. First in Class 2A, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks are coming off a come from behind 7-5 win over #9 Mediapolis. Tonight they face #1 Durant, a team they split with in the regular season. The two teams will play in Durant and you’ll be able to hear the game on the one to count on KCII. We’ll be on the air at around 7.

Also tonight the Highland Huskies head to Grinnell to face #13 Des Moines Christian. The Huskies won their last game in five innings beating Belle Plaine 12-1. Des Moines Christian comes in 24-6 and beat BCLUW 2-1 on Monday. Highland is 24-13. You’ll be able to hear the game live on the internet at kciiradio.com scroll down and on the right of the page you’ll see Radio Plus. We’ll also air a tape delay on the radio after the Mid-Prairie game.
