After nearly two years of dissatisfaction with the Iowa Association of School Boards, the Mid-Prairie School Board has decided to sever ties with the organization.  Superintendent Mark Schneider says the board had issues with a few administrative figures of IASB, and felt the group was not working to support members of the organization.

Schneider says changes must be made in order for the board to join again, but for now he says it’s best for the Mid-Prairie School Board not to be associated with them.

Schneider says recent actions of those figures, such as one director giving herself a raise, and another making questionable purchases, led the board to the decision.
