Corn has been growing taller in area farm fields and many times it can create problems for drivers.  David Patterson from the Washington County Engineer’s Office says here in Washington County tall corn is something to be concerned about, but he has not heard of any complaints.

He adds tall corn can create more of an issue on the rural intersections and there are no restrictions currently in place to prevent a farmer from planting too close to an intersection.

Patterson says if a driver should encounter a location where visibility is limited because of tall corn to contact his office.
