A local shelter is in need of funding because of the economy.  Sheila Hanson, Volunteer Board President with Paws and More Animal Shelter says their donations are down by over 12 thousand dollars compared to last year because of the struggling economy.

She says their spay and neuter bill has also increased and they are trying to get that bill paid down.  There is a fundraiser is happening at 4th Avenue Bar and Grill from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am tonight.

Local musicians and comedians will be featured along with giveaways and a 50/50 drawing.  Hanson adds there is no cover charge for the event.  For more information, contact Paws and More Animal Shelter.
