As the Mid-Prairie School District’s new high school building comes closer to completion, the district’s school board is having discussions about transportation. Superintendent Mark Schneider says growth is main reason for the conversation about bussing in the district. He says new transportation director Steve Holland and technology director Shawn Flockhart addressed the board at their recent meeting about possible concerns and improvements of transportation in the district.
Schneider says efficiency is important when talking about transportation, as it can be a significant portion of the budget as well. He says the board plans to discuss possible new bus routes and transportation finances before the 2011-2012 school year.
