The Washington County Fair continued yesterday with more 4-H and FFA Livestock events. The Alumni Steer Show was held at 4:00 which consists of a 4-H Alumnus presenting an animal during the show.  They were judged on their showmanship, how much they know about the animal and how much fun they are having.

Pride of Iowa took place at 5:00 followed by Shooting Sports Award presentation at 5:30 with the presentation of State Fair and Special Awards at 6:00.  Other events happening throughout the day were the dunk tank with special guests Washington High School Principal Eric Buchholz and Washington Mayor Sandra Johnson.

There was also a free watermelon feed and the Bucket of Junk Contest Art auction.  Last night’s featured event was the Moto-Cross in the Grandstand.  To see how each participant scored in 4-H and FFA events click on the Fair banner on the home page.
