Washington County Fair Thursday Events

The Washington County Fair continues tomorrow with more 4-H and FFA Livestock shows.  The day begins at 8:00 with the Market Beef Show with Beef Showmanship taking place at 12:30.  The afternoon’s events kick off at 2:00 with the Recognition of the 4-H Carcass cattle on hoof.

The afternoon events continue with the Alumni Steer show at 4:00 and Pride of Iowa beginning at 5:00.  The Shooting Sports presentation starts at 5:30 followed by the State Fair and special awards being presented at 6:00.

Other events happening throughout the day are the dunk tank with special guests Washington High School Principal Eric Buchholz and Washington Mayor Sandra Johnson from 4:30 to 6:00.  A free watermelon feed happens at 3:00 and the Bucket of Junk Contest Art auction takes place at 6:30.

The featured event is the Moto-Cross in the Grandstand at 7:00.  KCII will continue to be at the Fair with the Big Red Radio from 10:00 to 7:00 the rest of the week and for a full schedule of events, click on the Fair banner on the home page.
