A Wellman man has been sentenced after his involvement in methamphetamine production.  46 year-old Preston Enlow has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.  Chief United States District Judge Robert Pratt also ordered Enlow to serve five years of supervised release following his imprisonment and pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund.

Enlow had pleaded guilty to the offense.  The sentencing stems from a 2009 case involving a group of people responsible for cooking large amounts of methamphetamine at Enlow’s farm in rural Wellman.

37 year-old Nathan Trier of Keota has already been sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement.  The case was investigated by the Washington-Louisa Drug Task Force, Washington County Sheriff’s office, Keota Police Department, the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement, and was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
