A popular music event is being held near Kalona this weekend. Residents will have an opportunity to hear a number of gospel groups and singers perform during the Kalona Gospel Sing at the Windmill Ridge Campground.
Organizer James Yoder says camping will be available for the two-day event. He says the 14 groups participating come from Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
Yoder says there is no seating, so those attending should bring lawn chairs or blankets. He says this is the 18th year for the Kalona Gospel Sing.
