Senator Tom Harkin has announced one Keokuk County community will receive funding to support renewable energy projects and energy efficiency improvements.  The city of What Cheer has been awarded just over $11,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Energy for America Program.  The program supports farmers, ranchers, and rural small businesses that are on board with improving energy efficiency.

What Cheer is one of 21 Iowa communities to receive funds.
